Belly Dance for Every Body ~ Level 2

to be notified when the DVDs become available!
Level 2 assumes you are familiar with the material covered in Level 1. It is recommended that you have completed all three volumes of Level 1 (or have the equivalent through live instruction with a belly dance teacher or through other instructional belly dance DVDs) before proceeding to the Level 2 DVDs. For a complete list of material covered in Level 1, please visit the Belly Dance for Every Body Level 1 page.

In Volume 1: Accent Moves you will learn new arm positions, head movements, how to turn some of the moves you already know into accent moves as well as some new accent moves. Just like in Level 1, each new movement will be used in a combination with another movement you have already learned. Additionally, you will learn a short drum solo choreography.

Volume 2: Turns and Traveling Moves
You will learn new turns and traveling moves to move around your dance space and provide your audience with new angles, body lines and perspectives.

Volume 3: Those Crazy 8s will combine the circles you already know to create figure 8s. From arms to hips you will learn to create figure 8s with various parts of the body to add a fluid grace to your dancing. Each new figure 8 will be combined with moves you have already learned into short combinations. At the end of the DVD you will learn a short choreography using your new knowledge of figure 8s.

In Volume 4: Combinations and Drills you will combine the moves from the Level 1 and 2 DVDs into drills and combinations. The purpose of the drills and combinations is to make certain you have a solid understanding of the technique for the movements and how they fit together before moving on to more complex movement vocabulary.
